About Masjid Ar Rahman
Masjid Ar Rahman is a mosque located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, New York. Established in the year 2000, it was initially started as a place for Muslims working in the surrounding area to perform Salatul-Jummah. Over the years, the community grew, and the need for a proper place of worship became apparent. In 2003, the committee of Masjid Ar Rahman acquired a new location worth $2.9 Million, providing a dedicated space for Muslims to perform their daily five prayers. The mosque also offers additional services such as Arabic language classes, Tarawih prayers during Ramadan, and Iftar meals. The mosque follows the Sunni denomination and holds prayers in both Arabic and English, catering to a diverse community. While the parking options are limited to street parking, the mosque ensures separate prayer spaces for women, along with appropriate facilities for ablution (Odhu). Unfortunately, there is no information available about wheelchair amenities. Overall, Masjid Ar Rahman serves as a central hub for Muslims in the area, offering a welcoming and inclusive space for prayer and community activities.
