Assafa Islamic Center

Assafa Islamic Center, located in New York, is a welcoming place of worship established in 1996. As a Sunni mosque, it offers a range of religious services and educational opportunities. The center conducts five daily prayers and hosts two Jumu'ah prayers each week. In addition to the daily prayers, Assafa Islamic Center provides a weekend school for children and adult Quran learning classes focused on Tajweed. It also offers Nikah (marriage) services, making it a vital community hub for both spiritual and educational needs. Though currently operating from a rented space, the center is working towards completing a new project to better serve its members. The mosque is designed to be family-friendly and provides separate prayer spaces for women, as well as amenities for children and individuals with disabilities. Visitors can find street parking nearby, and the center conducts its activities in both Bangla and English, ensuring that a diverse community can feel at home.
